Waldrum confident depleted Super Falcons will beat Zambia

Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum, has insisted his side will go all out for a win against the Shepolopolo of Zambia on Friday.

Both teams will battle for third position at the 2022 Women’s Africa Women’s Cup at the Stade Mohamed V, Casablanca.

The Super Falcons will be without captain Onome Ebi for the game.

Ebi suffered a hamstring injury in the semi-final defeat to Morocco on Monday.

The duo of Halimat Ayinde and Rasheedat Ajibade will also miss the game against the Zambians through suspension.

Ayinde and Ajibade were sent off against the Atlas Lionesses.

“We have two players suspended as a result of red cards in the last game, and we also have some players down with injury,” Waldrum said Thursday evening at the pre match press conference.”

“So, there will be changes but we will go for the best legs that would give us victory on Friday.”
