Senator Moro Condemns Persistent Attacks On Ukwonyo Community In Benue

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD, has condemned in strong terms the continued attacks on Ukwonyo community in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State by armed invaders.

According to his media aide, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun John, Senator Moro said a situation where women are being harassed, raped and molested by bandits is unacceptable and must stop.

He particularly decried the recent attack on 42-year old Mrs Catherine Ajogi and four others who narrowly escaped death by the whiskers while working on their farms.

The senator insisted that people should be able to access their farms and go about their businesses without let or hindrances, as provided for in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He called on security agents to rise up to their responsibilities and go after the invaders with a view to demobilizing them and averting future occurrences.

He sympathized with the victims of the latest attack and wished them quick recovery.
