Chelsea manager, Graham Potter has given injury updates on his squad ahead of the visit of Leeds United this Saturday.
Mason Mount has been ruled out through injury while Reece James is also doubtful.
“Mason has had a problem with his lower abdomen area, his pubic bone, so he will miss the game tomorrow.
“I don’t think he will be too long,” Potter said.
On James, he added: “Reece has a little bit of tightness in his hamstring. We are assessing him but he is doubtful for tomorrow as well.”
Cesar Azpilicueta has “made progress” following his concussion injury against Southampton but is “not through the protocols that you need to do after a head injury like that”.
Asked if defender Thiago Silva will be out for six weeks, Potter said: “Thiago will be around that time, I am not sure exactly.”
There is better news on star midfielder, N’Golo Kante who had his first full training session today “but obviously still needs time” and also goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. “He is making progress but has not yet joined full training with the group.”
