Written in the stars – Guardiola reveals ex-player that’ll be Man City manager

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has said it is “written in the stars” that Vincent Kompany will coach the team in future.

Kompany currently coaches Burnley and looks set to lead them back to the Premier League for the first time of asking.

The Clarets are currently top of the Championship table and Kompany will return to the Etihad Stadium for their FA Cup quarter-final clash with City later this month.

The former Belgium centre-back spent 11 years at City as a player, where he won the Premier League four times.

“I think his destiny to be the manager of Manchester City is already written in the stars.

“It’s going to happen, I don’t know when but it is going to happen,” Guardiola told reporters on Friday.
