PDP Won’t Get a Vote In My Polling Unit – APC Candidate Okpebholo Declares

The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Monday Okpebholo has declared that the PDP wouldn’t secure a single vote at his polling unit.

Okpebholo made this statement immediately after casting his vote on Saturday.

He attributed his confidence to his popularity among the people in his hometown.

“I have nothing to fear,” Okpebholo said. “PDP or whatever will not get one vote here because this is my home and my people love me.”

Meanwhile, PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo has expressed concerns over the late arrival of INEC officials at Ward 1, PU 3, Ewohimi, Esan south-east LGA.

Ighodalo stressed that the large crowd at his polling unit must not be disenfranchised and called for an extension of time to allow voters to cast their ballots.

This development comes amidst fears of violence and logistical challenges in eight local government areas identified by Yiaga Africa, including Ikpoba/Okha, Oredo, Egor, Ovia South-West, Ovia North-East, Esan South-East, Etsako West, and Etsako East.

The election has 17 candidates vying for the top spot.
