Frank: Chelsea haven’t forgotten how to play football, they’re favourites

Brentford boss, Thomas Frank has said that Frank Lampard and his Chelsea players are top favourites to win their west London derby on Wednesday.

Lampard, who joined the Blues on an interim basis following the sack of Graham Potter, has yet to win a single match for the Stamford Bridge landlords.

In fact, the former Everton manager has lost all four matches under him thus far and crashed out of the Champions League.

But Brighton boss, Frank believes Chelsea have improved under Frank Lampard and says the Blues are still favourites heading into Wednesday’s meeting with the Bees.

“I think we all know that Chelsea have been struggling a little bit this season,” Frank told his press conference on Tuesday.

“I think clearly in the four games [Lampard] has been in charge they are playing with bigger energy, more intensity on the eye and also on the numbers.

“At the end of the day, they bought players for £600 million in the past two transfer windows and they haven’t forgotten how to play football.

“They are clear favourites of course.”
