Dar Al Halal Nigeria, DinarStandard set to present 2023 Halal Markets report

Dar Al Halal Nigeria and DinarStandard are set to present the “2023 Nigeria Halal Markets Opportunity and Prospects Report.”

According to a statement by the Executive Director, Policy and Governmental Affairs, Nasir Muazu Adamu, “This report provides a comprehensive view of Nigeria’s Halal Markets Opportunities and a roadmap to unlock its full potential. The launch event is scheduled to take place on Thursday April 27, 2023, from 10:00 am.

“The event will feature Dr. Mansur Muhtar, Vice President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), who will deliver the keynote address while Rafi-uddin Shikoh, CEO of DinarStandard, will present the Report’s findings.

“The discussion, led by a panel of distinguished guests, will revolve around the topic, “Seizing the Opportunity: Nigeria’s Path to Dominating the Halal Industry.” The discussion will provide insightful discourse on the future of Nigeria’s Halal Industry. There will be a brief Zoom presentation by H.E Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet, Director General, Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) and Her.E. Mrs Latifa El Bouabdellaoui, Director General, Islamic Centre for Development of Trade.”

The distinguished guests expected at the occasion include: His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, to be represented by Hon. Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, The Sultan of Sokoto, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Najib Hussaini Adamu, Emir of Kazaure and His Royal Highness, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, Emir of Bichi.

Others are: Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Engr. Suleiman Hussaini Adamu, Minister of Water Resources, Dr. Mohammed Mahmood Abubakar, Minister of Agriculture, Amb. Mariam Yalwaji Katagum, Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Amb. Zubairu Dada, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet, Director General, Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS) and Mrs. Latifa El Bouuabdellaoui, Director General, Islamic Center for Development of Trade.

Equally expected to be in attendance are other industry leaders, policymakers and investors.

The statement quoted Muhammadu Dikko Ladan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dar Al Halal Nigeria, as saying “The Halal Industry has immense potential to drive economic diversification and enhance Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global market. With the launch of the Nigeria Halal Markets Report 2023, we aim to provide a comprehensive roadmap for stakeholders to capitalize on the significant untapped opportunities in the Halal Industry. We look forward to engaging with policymakers, investors, and industry leaders in order to shape the future of Nigeria’s Halal markets and position Nigeria as a leading player in the global halal market.”
