Zamfara NSCDC arrests 70-year-old man, six others for alleged vandalism

Zamfara State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has apprehended seven criminal suspects, involving a 70-year-old man, for alleged vandalisation of public property.

According to the Commad’s Commandant, Dani Mustapha, the command recovered 10mm iron rods, 11 shovels, 6 diggers, machetes, holes, and hammers from the suspects.

The suspects were paraded on Monday at the command’s headquarters in Gusau, the State capital.

The Commandant, represented by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ikor Oche, disclosed that the suspects were arrested around Samaru and Mailaina garage in Gusau metropolis.

He said the seven suspects included a 70-year-old man, Sani Abubakar, with exhibits such as bunches of iron rods, diggers, shovels, machetes, holes, and hammers.

He assured that Zamfara NSCDC under Commandant Sani Mustafa would not relent in his efforts to sanitize the state and fight crime and other heinous activities.
