Out of the 504 votes cast, Manu was observed to have polled 379, defeating his opponent, Nuhu Tinyang Dan Fikyu, who scored 99 votes.

The election, which took place in Jalingo, the State capital, last night, was noticed to have brought together the party’s members from across the State.

While announcing the results, the returning officer of the party, Nuvalga Paul Kungana said Manu emerged the winner of the election following the number of votes he scored during the exercise.

He beckoned on the party’s faithful to rally round the candidate to enable him compete favourably in the forthcoming general elections.
