Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), operating in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Sunday repelled an attack and killed nine terrorists.
According to reports, they arrested five others and confiscated nine motorbikes used by the assailants in the operation.
According to a source, the hoodlums armed with sophisticated weapons, invaded the town around 4:30 a.m. riding on 10 different motorbikes before they were engaged in a fierce gun duel by members of the Civilian Joint Task Force.
He also noted that only one out of the 10 motorcycles used by the hoodlums managed to escape from the town, as the CJTF confiscated the remaining nine.
According to a recent report, the assailants few days ago, attacked the community and abducted some residents but were overpowered this time around by the Civilian Joint Task Force manning the area.
As of the time of filing this report, the spokesperson of the Katsina State Police Command, SP Isah Gambo is yet to issue an official statement to that effect.
