Chelsea boss, Graham Potter admitted winger, Christian Pulisic is ‘pushing’ for a starting spot.
The Englishman, however, said that the American must be ‘ready’ when his opportunity arrives.
The winger is pushing for a place in America’s national team for the 2022 World Cup but has started just two matches so far this season.
Pulisic wanted to leave the club in the summer after growing frustrated under Thomas Tuchel.
When asked if the American winger was worried about his situation at Stamford Bridge, the former Brighton boss said, “You can imagine my focus is on Chelsea.”
The English boss said he has to come to terms with the fact all the players in his squad want to play football regularly for whatever reason but insisted that he must do his job as the manager.
“I am not saying I am right all the time, I am not but somebody has got to make the call. With Christian, I would say he has been fantastic around the place, been really good with teammates, and contributed against Wolves,” he told reporters.
