Eriksson names club to win title ahead of week 12 fixtures

Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has made his Premier League title prediction.

He made the prediction after Arsenal moved four points clear of Manchester City following their 1-0 win over Leeds United on Sunday.

Manchester City on the other hand fell 1-0 to Liverpool at Anfield to give Arsenal four points advantage.

The Gunners have won 12 of their first 13 games in all competitions and are currently sitting top of the Premier League table.

Manchester City are in second, while Tottenham are third, Chelsea and Manchester United are fourth and fifth respectively.

Making his prediction Eriksson told OLBG: “I think Arsenal can win the league. But if you look at the squad, Manchester City are outstanding.

“They can change almost 11 players and you don’t notice it. For me, the big favourites are still Man City.

“There are many games to play, but congratulations to Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, it’s been a very long time since they won the Premier League.”

Arsenal’s only defeat this season came from Manchester United on September 4. Erik ten Hag’s men beat Arsenal 3-1 at Old Trafford.
