Wiretapping: You didn’t mention taking my bank tokens – El-Rufai’s wife to ICPC

‎Wife of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Hadiza, has knocked the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, over its claims of recovering phone-tapping devices from her residence in Abuja.

‎Hadiza said ICPC forgot to mention that it took away her bank tokens.

‎Posting on X, Hadiza assured that those items are not wiretapping devices.

‎“@icpcnigeria You forgot to mention that you also took away my bank tokens. I swear to God, they are not wiretapping equipment,” she wrote.

‎El-Rufai’s son, Mohammed Bello, had earlier accused the ICPC of orchestrating a smear campaign against his father by “weaponizing” his constitutional right to remain silent.

‎Bello said it is “deeply unfortunate” that a statutory body had “descended into what can only be described as a circus of chicanery”.
