Wike meets President Macron, Discuss Key Partnerships

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, held discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron during a high-profile state visit to bolster relations between Nigeria and France.

Wike joined President Bola Tinubu’s three-day official delegation, which is focused on fostering partnerships in critical sectors.

According to the Presidency, the visit is expected to deepen bilateral ties in agriculture, security, education, health, youth engagement, and innovation. Discussions also cover energy transition, finance, trade, solid minerals, and investment.

“This visit represents a pivotal moment for Nigeria as we strengthen our cooperation with France,” stated the Presidency, highlighting the broad agenda set to benefit both nations.

As part of the delegation, Wike is seen as strategically advancing Nigeria’s urban and infrastructural development goals through international collaboration.
