Heartland coach, Christian Obi has said his team’s victory against FC One Rocket was achieved under intense pressure.
The Naze Millionaires defeated the Uyo-based side 1-0 to keep their promotion hopes alive.
The result means Heartland are second on the Southern Conference group with four points after playing out a goalless draw in their matchday one fixture.
Obi is, however, satisfied that his players were bold enough to hold on till the end of the encounter.
“It’s a hard fight; many things are involved in the game, but thank God the players stood their ground,” Obi reckoned in a chat with news correspondent in Asaba.
“The pressure was high from our opponents and also the referee gave us some pressure too.
“I will work on the boys to be able to understand more on managing this type of situation ahead of our next game,” he added.
Heartland will take on Sporting Lagos on Wednesday at the ongoing Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs in Asaba.
