We are still at work – Alausa debunks resignation rumours

‎The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, has dismissed rumours suggesting he plans to resign from office to pursue the Lagos State governorship seat.

‎Speculation about his alleged governorship ambition and resignation surfaced after an APC stalwart, Imran Muhammed, posted on his social media handle that the minister “may resign in order to pursue his Lagos State governorship ambition.”

‎“According to a source, the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, may resign in order to pursue his Lagos State governorship ambition,” Muhammed wrote.

‎Reacting to this, Alausa debunked the claim via his official X handle, describing the report as unfounded.

‎“We’re still hard at work here at the FME, don’t believe the rumours,” the minister stated.
