Tottenham move to hijack Arsenal’s £50m target

Tottenham have entered the race to sign Manchester City forward, Gabriel Jesus ahead of Arsenal.

Arsenal have been battling to sign the Brazilian since the resumption of the transfer window but no concrete agreement has been made.

While Jesus remains one of Arsenal’s top targets as Mikel Arteta needs to improve his attacking, Tottenham now feel they stand a chance to sign the forward.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are ‘moving under the radar’ to sign Jesus.

To add to this, the Daily Mirror says that Conte is a huge admirer of Jesus’ versatility.

City want to let the 25-year-old leave the Etihad this summer, but suitors must be ready to pay around £50 million for the Brazil international.

Tottenham have a better advantage of signing the player due to their Champions League qualification, having finished fourth-place in the Premier League last season.
