Tinubu’s victory ensures a prosperous Nigeria – Owoeye

The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye has congratulated the President-elect, Bola Tinubu on his victory at the February 25th Presidential election.

The Speaker also hinted that with the victory of Tinubu, citizens of Nigeria will prosper in their businesses and careers going by the promise of the President-elect that there will be a human face to his government.

Owoeye opined that Nigerians will live life abundantly with the assurance that the President-elect will surround himself with people who will drive the economy for a better Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

In a statement by his Media Aide, Kunle Alabi on Wednesday, Owoeye described the victory as a well-deserved one considering that the time is now for a better and prosperous Nigeria to be birthed.

He also posited that the majority of voters had done well by voting for the best man for the job who will give Nigeria renewed hope for a better Country.

He called on Tinubu to focus on unifying the country and together lead Nigeria through a peaceful transition.

According to him, “It is not the best of time for the country, the President-elect should by now be thinking of how to get the nation back on track on or before his hundred days in office.”

Owoeye, however, called on people to be peaceful and patriotic.

“In every contest, there will be a winner, it should be a no Victor, no vanquish situation, the stability of the country must be paramount in the mindset of Nigerians irrespective of political leanings.

“I am not in doubt that the President-elect will perform excellently bearing in mind that he is a thoroughbred politician who understands what the people need. He knows the grassroots and identifies with the masses. Tinubu understands what the people want and I can assure you that it will not take him long to settle down to work.

“I use this opportunity to also congratulate the people of my home state, Osun, we are in for a better country with the emergence of a thoroughbred politician who understands how to make the country work again, he envisaged the good work of Asiwaju will definitely rob on Osun for good,” the Speaker emphasised.
