Nigerians have been advised on how best to manage the skyrocketing electricity bills in their homes and workplaces.
The advice was handed to Nigerians by President Bola Tinubu during his first-ever Presidential Media Chat on Monday, December 23.
Speaking on the issue of resource management among others, the president said it is important that Nigerians learn to to switch of their lights when not in use.
He said developing such habits would help manage high electricity bills as he believes that learning management is not a bad approach to life.
He also noted even his friends have learnt to manage resources since he came into office on May 29, 2024.
Tinubu said, “My friend used to have about five Rolls-Royces. The other day I saw him in his Honda Accord.
“Oh, then why? He said that’s where you put me; I said I didn’t put you there. He stated that because of the fuel price, he could no longer maintain five luxury vehicles.
“It’s not negative to learn to manage; you’ll learn to control your electricity bill. Switch off the light; let’s learn to manage,” the president stated.
