Arsenal’s Women head coach, Jonas Eidevall has singled out two England stars, Alessia Russo and Lauren Hemp for praise following Wednesday’s FIFA Women’s World Cup semi-final win over Australia.
The Lionesses defeated Australia 3-1 to reach the Women’s World Cup final for the first time ever after eliminating the host nation.
Recall that goals from Ella Toone, Hemp and Russo secured the victory for England against Australia as Sam Kerr’s goal was not enough.
England will now face Spain in the Women’s World Cup final on Sunday.
“Alessia Russo is a great player and she is a great person and personality,” Eidevall said as quoted by Metro UK.
“I think when you see her and Lauren Hemp play together, they are not only good with the ball and with their movement, they are so hard working.
“I think the two hardest working forward players that we have in this World Cup.”
