Rivers United keen to sign Atule from Lobi Stars

Rivers United will table an irresistible offer to sign Joseph Atule from Lobi Stars before the start of next season.

The Pride of Rivers have inquired about signing the enterprising forward.

Atule impressed for Lobi Stars last season despite the Makurdi side failing to pick a continental ticket.

Rivers United head coach Stanley Eguma is keen to bolster his attacking option, having failed to defend the NPL title during the Super Six playoffs in Lagos.

The club spent big last season with the acquisition of the Liberia duo of Mark Gibson and Albert Korvah, as well as Lukman Adefemi.

Former Kano Pillars forward Nyima Nwagua is expected to stay at the club.
