Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has commended his players for their determination in the victory against Kwara United.
Ogunmodede’s side defeated Kwara United 2-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium on Sunday.
Adebayo Olamilekan and Samad Kadri netted for Remo Stars in the game.
Remo Stars reclaimed top spot on the NPFL table following the win.
Ogunmodede said dropping to second position before the game added an extra pressure for his team.
“Good performance from the boys as its a big pressure to be out of the top of the table before the game,” he told the club’s media.
“I must commend the players for been able to deal with the pressure because Kwara United came out to play in the first half which we were lucky to escape the surge.
“We upped our game in the second half when we realised the importance of victory for us.
“We are happy to be back at the top of the top.”
Remo Stars will face Kano Pillars in their next league game at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
