Rangers boss demands more from Dessers after Motherwell goal

Rangers manager Michael Beale wants more from Cyriel Dessers following his side’s hard-earned 1-0 victory against Motherwell.

Dessers scored the winning goal for the Light Blues in the 27th minute.

It was a welcome relief for the Super Eagles star, who has come under intense criticism since he arrived at the Ibrox Stadium.

Despite his heroics, Beale has demanded more from Dessers and his teammates.

“It was a good goal; it was something that we have worked on. The goal was really good play. If you play it back, the combination play between them was really good play so in that sense, in that moment, they have really shown what they are capable of,” Beale told Rangers TV.

“I’m looking for more from this group of players and my staff as well. I don’t take one bit of comfort from this win. ”

Dessers has netted three times for the Gers since his arrival from Italian club, Cremonese in the summer.
