Ramadan fast; Jibrin Momoh Distributes Rice to ease the burden on the people

The immediate past Accountant General of kogi state and a leading gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Alhaji Jibrin Momoh has announced a significant contribution towards easing the burden of Ramadan fasting by distributing bags of rice to communities across the three senatorial districts of the state.

Director General of his campaign team, Hon. Ebije Ugbede Paul said the initiative was aimed at ensuring that the less privileged families in the state have enough to eat during the month of Ramadan.

“The distribution of rice is part of my principal’s commitment to improving the standard of living of the people of Kogi State during this period. What we are doing today is a testament to his kindness to the people of Kogi State, especially those who are struggling to make ends meet during the Holy Month of Ramadan.”

According to Hon. Ebije, the initiative was targeted at the most vulnerable in the state, including widows, orphans, the elderly, and other less privileged persons who are living below the poverty line. He added that the initiative is part of his proposed administration’s plan to ensure that the basic needs of the people are met, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

The distribution exercise, which took place in all local government areas of the state, was carried out by the campaign’s local government coordinators and supervised by zonal coordinators of the campaign’s team to ensure that the rice got to the intended beneficiaries.

Meanwhile the initiative has been applauded by various groups and individuals who commended Alhaji Jibrin for his selfless service to the people of Kogi State, promising that the people would support his candidature towards getting the ticket of his party.

Speaking on the initiative, a beneficiary who identified himself as Mallam Ibrahim expressed his gratitude to Alhaji Jibrin and described the gesture as a demonstration of true leadership and compassion.

Hon. Ebije reiterated Alhaji Jibrin’s commitment to the people of Kogi State and assured them that his administration, when elected, will prioritize the welfare of the people and ensure that their needs are met.

He called on all residents of Kogi State to continue to support the initiative and work together towards building a better Kogi State.
