The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has congratulated former Head of State and founder of the organisation, General Yakubu Gowon, rtd, who clocked 89 years in October.
Ahmed, who led some directors, staff and NYSC members to Gowon’s residence expressed appreciation to God for sparing his life.
Responding, Gowon thanked the Director General and the entire NYSC for keeping the flag of the Scheme flying with several innovations.
Gowon also expressed confidence that the NYSC Trust Fund Bill would be attended to.
He further charged the NYSC members to continue to be disciplined, loyal and patriotic in their service to the nation.
