NDLEA arrests 164 illicit drug dealers in Plateau

About 164 persons suspected to be dealers on forbidden drugs have been apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement (NDLEA), in Plateau State.

Muhammad Abba, the Assistant Commander, on Thursday, made the revelation in Jos while speaking with newsmen.

He explained that, “The NDLEA also seized 417.136kg of forbidden drugs from the drug traffickers in the State.”

He said that 414kg of Indian hemp, 1.061kg of tramadol, 2.625kg of diazepam, 32.5g of flunitrazepam, 6.6g of rohypnol and 4.6g of codeine were seized from the dealers by the operatives of NDLEA.

He further explained that the agency had already commenced investigation of the suspects, assuring that they would be arraigned in court.
