Wilfred Ndidi has stepped up his recovery from injury and is on course to be part of Leicester City’s pre-season training.

The Nigerian international missed the final two-and-a-half months of the 2021/22 campaign with a knee injury.

The midfielder sustained the injury in Leicester City’s UEFA Europa Conference League clash against Rennes.

With the rest of his teammates on holiday, Ndidi has been working hard in the United Arab Emirates to regain full fitness ahead of the new season.

“Pleasure to assist Wilf with his rehab whilst here in Dubai this last week. Thanks to LCFC becoming the latest club to trust our service Elite Sports Performance with their player and wishing Wilfred the best of luck with the comeback,” Chris Bowman of Elites Sports Performance was quoted by Leicester City Mercury.

Leicester City will commence pre-season training on June 27.
