Aurelién Tchouaméni names two players who convinced him to join Real Madrid

New Real Madrid player, Aurelién Tchouaméni, has identified the club’s stars Karim Benzema and Eduardo Camivinga as the two people that convinced him to join the LaLiga champions.

Real Madrid recently signed Tchouaméni from AS Monaco on a six-year contract.

Los Blancos beat off competition from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain to land the 22-year-old midfielder.

Speaking during his first press conference on Tuesday, Tchouaméni said, “I’ve been lucky enough to be able to speak with Benzema and Camavinga. We can see in his case how he has improved here at the best club in the world.

“Camavinga is really happy that I’m here. As for Benzema, he’s the best striker in the world. When the negotiations were at an advanced stage, he wrote to me and told me how everything works at Real Madrid. I’m lucky to have them here with me.”

Tchouaméni is viewed by Real Madrid as a potential long-term replacement for Casemiro, 30, and will form part of a new midfield partnership alongside Federico Valverde (23) and Eduardo Camavinga (19).
