Former Premier League star Clinton Morrison has urged Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino to ‘get rid’ of underperforming Chelsea players after their 2-0 defeat to Everton.
Chelsea lost against Everton at Goodison Park during Sunday’s Premier League tie.
The result against the host see Pochettino’s side fall to 12th position on the Premier League table.
The likes of Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Nicolas Jackson, Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher were particularly poor.
It was Abdoulaye Doucoure and Lewis Dobbin that scored the goals for Everton.
“There is six players ahead of the ball but no legs in midfield that can get back,” Morrison said on Sky Sports.
“Dwight McNeil goes past Gallagher like he is not there – he should foul him. He plays a great ball to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
“The save from Robert Sanchez is outstanding, but then it comes to Abdoulaye Doucoure. He drills it into the bottom corner – a fantastic goal, brilliant
“But the Chelsea players are nowhere near him, nowhere near. We talk about Pochettino and the big job he’s got there. There’s a lot of players they have signed that they have got to get rid of.”
