Mason Mount has been handed the iconic No. 7 shirt last worn by Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United.
The former Chelsea academy graduate completed his £60 million move to Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Mount has put pen to paper on a five-year contract worth £250,000 a week, keeping him at Old Trafford until 2028, with the option of a further year.
Shortly after his unveiling, United confirmed Mount will wear the iconic No. 7 shirt previously donned by David Beckham, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, and George Best.
Mail Sport reports Ten Hag offered Mount the No. 7 shirt during their negotiations, in a bid to prove to the midfielder how highly they rated him.
Mount wore the No. 19 shirt—currently taken by Raphael Varane—while at Chelsea.
