Lampard speaks on continuing as Chelsea manager next season

Chelsea interim manager, Frank Lampard has said he is not looking beyond this season after he was unveiled on Thursday afternoon.

The 45-year-old has signed a short-term deal with the Blues until the end of this season.

Lampard replaces Graham Potter who was sacked last Sunday, following a 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa.

When asked if he saw himself staying on into the 2023/2024 campaign, Lampard replied: “I’m not getting ahead of myself.

“Roberto (Di Matteo) did an incredible job and stayed on. In simple terms, it won’t be my decision as such.

“I’m focusing on the job at hand.”
