Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal continues to tear up the history books, breaking records once thought untouchable and placing himself ahead of some of football’s greatest names.
With his latest goal against Mallorca, Yamal has now scored 24 LaLiga goals in just 92 appearances, making him the highest-scoring player under the age of 19 across Europe’s top five leagues in the 21st century.
That remarkable feat pushes him beyond Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappé at the same stage of their careers
Mbappe previously held the benchmark with 23 goals before turning 19, while Messi managed six and Ronaldo just four. For Yamal to surpass all three underlines the extraordinary pace of his rise.
The records don’t stop there. The Barcelona winger has also become the first player this season to reach 100 successful dribbles across Europe’s top five leagues.
The gap to the rest of the field is striking, with Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku second on 62, a massive 38 fewer than Yamal, highlighting just how dominant he has been in one-on-one situations.
Yamal’s individual brilliance once again translated into team success as Barcelona claimed a convincing 3–0 victory over Mallorca at Camp Nou.
Fresh from reaching the Copa del Rey semi-finals, the Blaugrana carried their momentum into league action, gradually wearing Mallorca down with patient build-up play and aggressive pressing. Robert Lewandowski broke the deadlock in the 29th minute after sustained pressure inside the box.
The second half belonged to Yamal. Collecting the ball outside the area, the teenager drove directly at the defence before curling a precise finish into the right corner to double Barcelona’s lead, a goal that perfectly captured his confidence, technique and attacking instinct.
Barcelona later added a third to seal a comfortable win, but the night once again revolved around their prodigious winger, whose season continues to blur the line between promise and superstardom.
At this rate, Lamine Yamal isn’t just following in the footsteps of football’s icons, he’s already rewriting the standards they set.
