Kogi pilgrims in Madina, embarks on visit to historical sites, today

Pilgrims from Kogi state, Nigeria performing this year’s, (2022), Hajj exercise, who are currently in Madina, have embarked on Ziyara, (Visit to Historical sites).

According to official source the pilgrims visited Quba, .

They also used the opportunity to visit the Quba mosque.

This is the special place where the Prophet and his companions, on their journey from Mecca to Madina, created this (first ever) mosque. In that regard it’s probably the oldest and highly regarded places to visit for muslims worldwide. And of course, praying there has a huge reward (equal to an Umrah).

The pilgrims according to the source will visit other historical sites around Madina before proceeding to the Holy city of Mecca for the hajj proper.
