Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is not completely healthy. The medical board has sent the BNP chairperson home to prevent the transmission of Omicron despite the physical complications.He reached his residence Firoza in Gulshan around 6 pm on Friday.
Earlier in the day, Khaleda Zia’s Medical Board chief Dr Shahabuddin addressed a press conference at Evercare Hospital.
At the press conference, Dr. Shahabuddin said, Begum Khaleda Zia will be taken home at 5 pm. He said that the treatment will be monitored at home as before.
The head of the medical board also said that Begum Khaleda Zia was being taken home despite the risk of avoiding corona infection. If complications occur, he will be brought back to the hospital.
Although the complications of Khaleda Zia’s kidney have been resolved, internal bleeding is now a big challenge, said FM Siddiqui, a member of the medical board.
He said that his chances of bleeding, cirrhosis of the liver remained. There was no treatment for it. We just closed her bleeding spots by migrating. What happened to them in the last six months, but we could not follow up.
It may be mentioned that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital at 3:20 pm on June 10 with heart problems. The next day, on Saturday morning, the medical board formed to treat her decided to have an angiogram as a matter of urgency. Later in the afternoon, when angiogram was done under the supervision of Professor Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder, the block was caught and a ring was placed there. He was then caught with two more blocks.
In response to a question on June 14, BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s personal physician Mohammad Mamun said she did not have the physical condition to wear a ring in the other two blocks. On that day, he said, the situation of Begum Khaleda Zia has not stabilized yet.
