Kogi Indigenes In Benue Kick Start Campaign For Ortom , Uba

A support group known as Kogi In Benue Network For Ortom & Uba has began conversing for votes from all indigenes of Kogi state resident in Benue state.

Speaking to journalists on Friday at the end of an interactive session with members of the Igala community in Benue held at Gatah hotel old GRA Makurdi, Spokes person for the group Hon. Thompson Alfa stated that
the purpose for the enlarged meeting was to converse support for the candidature of Governor Samuel Ortom who is contesting for senate as well as Rt Hon Titus Uba who is contesting for Governor.

These individuals in their respective offices have done credibly well hence the need to gather support for them for the forth coming general election

According to Hon Thompson, more than ten percent of the total population of Benue are the Igalas whose votes are very significant therefore the group in a few days time would embark on a massive campaign  to ensure that all Kogi indigenes cast their votes to not just Ortom and Uba but all PDP candidates in the state.

On their part, PDP Chairman Igala Forum Hon Edechu Joseph Ekanu, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on community relation Hon Onuh who spoke on behalf of  Igala Community Development Association reiterated the peaceful coexistence the Igala community have had  in
Benue noting that it was imperative that they support and vote in the government in power so they would continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy. 

They equally urge those yet to collect their PVCs to do so quickly so they could have the opportunity to cast their vote.

Present in the meeting was the Onu Igala Benue state, Sumaila Akubo.
