The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM) has unveiled the timetable for screening candidates ahead of the upcoming local government elections on October 19, 2024.
The screening will assess all Chairmanship and Councillorship hopefuls from Monday, September 9, to Monday, September 16, 2024.
Mrs. Hajara Mohammed, Chairman of KAD-SIECOM, announced that the exercise will be conducted daily from 9 am to 6 pm at the local government headquarters.
“I wish to refer to Section 19 of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission Law 2024, item No. 9 of the 2024 Local Government Council Election Time Table and P.9, item No. 3 of the Guidelines,” the timetable states.
The comprehensive schedule aims to ensure a thorough evaluation process for all candidates vying for local government positions, setting the stage for a crucial election in Kaduna.
