KADUNA CUSTOMS SMASHES RECORDS: A TEAM EFFORT DRIVES ₦5.16 BILLION REVENUE BOOM

The Kaduna Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has reached a historic milestone, generating ₦5.16 billion in October 2025—the highest monthly revenue in its history. This remarkable achievement represents a 96% increase above target , equating to 196% target performance . Comptroller Saad Hassan attributes this success to the dedication and professionalism of officers and stakeholders, aligning with Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi’s modernization agenda.

In a statement released Wednesday in Kaduna, Chief Superintendent Ridwan Yusuf, Public Relations Officer, underscored the team’s pivotal role: “The staff’s unwavering professionalism is vital to the NCS’s mission.” The command remains committed to sustaining growth, facilitating trade, and supporting Nigeria’s economic stability.

Key drivers include improved stakeholder engagement, digitalized excise operations, and boosted officer motivation*. The command’s oversight of facilities like Leaf Tobacco, Nigerian Breweries, and Seven-Up contributed significantly. Year-on-year, revenue surged from ₦24.06 billion (Jan–Oct 2024) to ₦39.79 billion (Jan–Oct 2025), marking a 61.89% growth .

“This performance reinforces transparency and trade efficiency,” Yusuf added. The Kaduna Command’s trajectory—*₦28.4 billion in 2024 (98.79% growth) and ₦16.3 billion in 2023 (21.93% rise)—solidifies its role as a revenue powerhouse.
