‘If doing what’s right will make me lose my job, so be it’ – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has said that if doing the right thing would cost him his job, he would not mind.

Wike made this statement on Thursday at a media briefing shortly after the FCT Executive Committee meeting.

News report stated that the Minister and some officials of the FCT Authority on Tuesday clashed with soldiers in Abuja over access to a land.

“As far as my conscience is clear that I’m doing the right thing, I will do it. If it costs me my job, it’s okay.

“Did I perform? Yes, I did. Will history remember me? Yes. I will continue to step on toes too,” he said.
