‘I won’t beg you to surrender’ – Zamfara new CP to bandits

The newly posted commissioner of police in Zamfara State, Mr. Kolo Yusuf has sent a red signal to the bandits operating in the State, warning that it will no longer be business as usual.

This was contained in a press statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital, by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Mohammed Shehu.

According to the statement, the commissioner is a security tactician that knows how to deal with the bandits and terrorists terrorizing the entire State.

“I will restructure the entire police force in the State to give way for my formidable security measures so that I can succeed in my designed plans,” he added.

The statement also noted that the commissioner had made a thorough study of the security situation in the State, saying that nothing will be left to chances in efforts to accomplish his mission.

The commissioner warned all the active bandits to surrender their arms and ammunitions to the State government in order not to be caught in the webs.

“I will never beg the bandits to surrender their arms and ammunitions to the State government, but I am very much ready to face them on fire for fire operations.

“Enough is enough and the bandits must allow the entire residents of Zamfara State to have rest of mind,” he added.

Mr. Yusuf said that he had been in the struggle against banditry activities in many States of the federation, assuring that Zamfara State would never be left in the dark.

DAILY POST reports that such promises were made by his predecessors in the past but nothing has changed in the State.
