Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, has commended the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency, (KGCSDA) and NG-CARES for helping to bring his administration’s development to the doorsteps of the people of the State.
The Governor who was represented by Kogi State Commissioner For Finance Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris and Chairman of the State CARES Steering Committee, (SCSC), disclosed this at the Opening ceremony for second batch of the training of Community and Group Project Management Committees of some projects in Okene and
the flag-off ceremony of some the projects
He said all the micro projects that are to be implemented across the State, are those having direct bearing on the lives of the people of the State, reiterated his administration’s commitment to grassroots development.
The execution of the 170 Micro Projects under the
NIGERIA ACTION (for) RESILIENCE and ECONOMIC RECOVERY the Governor explained will benefit about 200,000 beneficiaries spread across the State.
The Commissioner while appreciating the State Governor for the funding of the programme, assured rural dwellers of massive community projects aimed at reducing poverty, hunger, and encouraging self reliance.
The Governor assured the people that his developmental agenda would top his administration’s top priority, assuring that the best is yet to come for the people.
In his remarks, the General Manager, Kogi Community and Social Development, (KGCSDA), Chief Mallam Dauda, pointed out that the administration of Governor Ododo is poised to bring development to the doorsteps of the people.
He explained that the ongoing projects under execution is being handled by 😯 Community/Group Development Plan that was identified for support, adding that it is expected to have 200,000 beneficiaries.
He said, according to the Agency’s work plan the Community Development Plan schedule, the projects are to be fully implemented and functional by September, 2024.
He urged the Community Implementation Committees of the projects to adhere to the specifications, pointing out that, the agency would sanction and blacklist defaulters.
The General Manager commended the present administration for providing funds needed for the NG-CARES, adding that these are the reasons why the project implementation is unhindered, assuring that the projects across the State would be completed at the expected time and delivered for commissioning.
