Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has said Kylian Mbappe has shown selflessness since the France star’s return from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Mbappe scored from the penalty spot as PSG managed to beat 19th-placed Strasbourg 2-1 in the Ligue 1 on Wednesday night.
Addressing his post-match press conference, coach Galtier hailed the 23-year-old for his selflessness, claiming that the France international had brought his stunning World Cup form to club football.
“I think he is on the level of what he did in Qatar. He’s benefited from a few days off,” the manager said.
“Despite the sadness, he had an exceptional tournament, and his recovery means he’s been on the pace,
“Since his return, he was determined to play our next two matches. He was the trigger for victory when it was tough. He has taught the whole team with his selflessness.”
