Former PDP chairman dies in Abuja hospital

Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, the former chairman of the Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has passed away.

Milgoma, who led the party from 2015 to 2018, died in an Abuja hospital following a protracted illness.

The news of his death was announced by the Sokoto State PDP Publicity Secretary, Malam Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, in a press statement made available to journalists in Sokoto.

The statement expressed deep grief over Milgoma’s passing, describing him as a distinguished gentleman and respected leader who made significant contributions to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria.

“The Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has learnt with deep grief, the death of its former chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, who died in Abuja following a protracted illness,” the statement read.

Malam Sahabi Sanyinnawal said Milgoma was dedicated and commited during his tenure, which played a crucial role in ensuring the PDP’s victory in the 2019 general elections in Sokoto State.

He added that the state has lost a father figure and a leader whose legacy will be remembered.

The party extended its prayers, asking Almighty Allah to forgive Milgoma’s shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.

They also prayed for strength and comfort for his family and the entire Sokoto State as they mourn this irreparable loss.
