Former Kogi AG says peaceful conduct of elections, made possible by Gov. Bello’s firm leadership style, peaceful disposition

The former Accountant general of the state, Alhaji Jibril Momoh, has said that the peaceful conduct of all elections in Kogi state was made possible by Governor Yahaya Bello’s leadership quality.

He said the recently concluded elections in the state, particularly in Okene his local government and Kogi central, was transparent, free and fair without any rancour or shortage of materials .

“The INEC officials came on time and the process commenced as scheduled.

“I appreciated the efforts of the media and the civil society organisations for sensitizing electorates and the candidates that election is not a do or die affair, that effort has contributed emensely to the peaceful conduct of the presidential, National and state houses of assembly across the state.

“Governor Yahaya Bello has also done a lot to ensure that there is absolute peace during elections because after the exercise people will still come back as brothers and sisters.

” Our hope is to see a better and more united Kogi state where everyone will in peace and harmony, where development will thrive.
