Fire Outbreak Hits Ministry of Works HQ in Abuja

A minor fire outbreak occurred on Friday morning at the Federal Ministry of Works headquarters in Mabushi, Abuja.

The fire, triggered by a faulty circuit breaker in the electrical control room, was swiftly brought under control with no significant damage or casualties reported.

Mohammed A. Ahmed, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Ministry, confirmed the incident, stating, “A minor fire incident occurred at 11:30 am at Block A of the Ministry.”

He attributed the outbreak to a spark from a faulty circuit breaker on the ground floor.

“No documents were lost, and there were no casualties,” Abdullahi remarked, praising the staff’s conduct during the evacuation.
