Enyimba head coach Finidi George has described his side’s away victory against Bayelsa United as fantastic.
Enyimba defeated Bayelsa United 2-1 at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa on Thursday.
Finidi believed that the points gained would improve the chances of regaining the title.
He also expressed hopes that his side will win a record-extending 10th title at the end of the season.
“It’s important to win as we have lost some few points at home but coming here to win is fantastic,” he said in a post-match interview.
“Defending the title, we have played all the tough teams but we will definitely give it a try.”
Enyimba moved up to fourth position on the NPFL table with 26 points following the win.
