Cristiano Ronaldo’s next destination revealed

European football expert, Andy Brassell, has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo’s only option is to transfer from Manchester United this summer.

The 37-year-old’s next destination remains unclear as he forces his way out of Old Trafford in search of Champions League football this season.

He has been linked with a move to Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich but all those clubs have distanced themselves from any move for the former Juventus man.

But European football expert, Brassell gave talkSPORT an update on his possible transfer, revealing Ronaldo’s former club, Sporting Lisbon, as the only available route.

The 37-year-old forward is a regular feature on back pages up and down the country after suggesting that he is looking to leave the club this summer.

He said: “There was a letter released last week by an Atletico fan group, saying he was contrary to all the spirit and values of the club.

“It does put it out there how much his options have closed. I think at the moment the most realistic option for him is possibly a return to Sporting.”
