Community leader congratulates Governor Ododo on Supreme court victory

…Says his victory is a confirmation of Kogi people’s mandate

A community leader and a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), from Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Comrade Abdulraheem Okekenu, has facilitated with the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on his Supreme Court victory, confirming his election as the duly elected Governor of Kogi State.

Comrade Okekenu in his congratulatory message issued in Lokoja, emphasized the divine nature of the victory, seeing it as a call for more service to the People of the state.

“Your victory in the November 11 governorship election and you subsequent victories at the Tribunal, the appeal court and now the supreme court shows that your emergence as Governor of our dear state is divine.

He said God would not have allowed the truncation of the quality services Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has been rendering to the people of the state since his assumption of office.

According to him, the Supreme Court judgment shows that sectional sentiments do not prevail over facts and genuine truth that holds dear the people’s trust.

He stressed that the outcome of the judgment was about the collective interest and good of the people of Kogi state, rather than selfish and personal interests.

The community leader and Activist, who praised Governor Ododo for his prompt payment of civil servants’ salaries among other welfare packages, the consolidation on the achievements of his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and other landmark projects across the state, assured him of his resolve to play his roles to ensure the success of the present administration’s programmes and policies in his Community and the state at large

He prayed to God to continue to endow him with good health, long life and the wisdom to discharge his duties as Governor of the state.

He also used the opportunity to reiterate his call on the people of the state, irrespective of political affiliation, to rededicate themselves to the vision of the Governor for a better Kogi state that will serve as reference point for other states in terms of quality development.

“I call on all the people of the state, irrespective of their political affiliation, to join hands with the Governor for the advancement of quality service delivery to our people. The governor has started well, he is doing a great job and deserved the support of all of us to move the State forward.

He commended the Accountant General of the state, Habitat Tijani Onomoko for her support towards the victory of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Comrade Okekenu also Congratulated other stakeholders who stood by him “and finally and most importantly, the White Lion and Leader of Egbira Nation, Alhaji Yahaya A. Bello, former Governor of the state.
