Chelsea are open to selling midfielder Conor Gallagher in the January transfer window to fund Brentford’s Ivan Toney or Napoli’s Victor Osimhen signing, according to the Daily Mail.
Gallagher currently has 18 months left on his Chelsea contract.
However, the Blues will reportedly consider offers for the England international in January as they look to comply with financial regulations and raise funds for a new striker.
Despite spending over £1 billion on signing new players since Todd Boehly took over at the west London club in 2022, Chelsea have regressed even further.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side now face a big fight to even qualify for Europe this current campaign, let alone the UEFA Champions League.
They are 12th in the Premier League table, with 14 points off the top four.
Following their 2-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday, their manager Pochettino stated that Chelsea would have to delve back into the transfer market in January.
However, either Toney or Osimhen would cost upwards of £70 million.
As a result, the Premier League club would have to offload some players first and Gallagher is one of them.
