Campbell names two players Arsenal should sign to replace Jesus in January

Former Arsenal attacker, Kevin Campbell, has named two players he would like his former club to sign in January to help ease the loss of Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal are set to be without their first-choice striker Jesus for several months after the Brazilian sustained a knee injury during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

There are reports that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may look to bring in some forward reinforcements when the January transfer window opens in less than two weeks’ time.

However, Campbell wants Arsenal to target France’s Marcus Thuram and USA’s Christian Pulisic.

“I think he [Marcus Thuram] could be a good addition [to Arsenal squad],” Campbell told the Highbury Squad podcast.

“That will keep defences on their toes, that is for sure. It’ll be a fair deal because it will be pretty cheap because he has only got six months left on his contract, so it could be a good deal to be done.”

Commenting on Pulisic, Campbell added, “If Arsenal have got a chance of signing him, for me, I will bring him in.”
