The Ekiti State Commissioner for Transportation, Kehinde Ajobiewe has charged officials of the ministry to brace up in achieving the mandate given to them by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Ajobiewe said this during a special meeting where the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Isaac Abulola, Executive Secretary of Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency (EKTSMA), Tai Akomolafe, Director of Admin & Supplies and Director of Finance & Accounts, Lawal Monisola were all in attendance.
The Commissioner said the ministry needed to strategize and re-strategize on the smooth functioning of the newly established Transportation Ministry.
Part of the discussion was the ways to ensure that the ministry operates efficiently, enhancing the state’s revenue to support the ongoing developmental projects as initiated by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
The meeting highlighted the importance of effective transportation management in facilitating economic growth and development and the optimization of transport systems as the state aims to attract investments and improve trade.
They also discussed the means of providing seamless mobility for citizens.
